Job Description
Integrity NDT (INDT) has an opening for an HR / IR Officer position to be based in its Middelburg office and service all INDT sites. The successful incumbent will be required to handle the HR / IR function for the company, assist in various HR projects, provide overall HF guidance, and assist with the day-to-day sie Hr/Ir matters. He/she will work closely with site managers, stakeholders, and employees.
This particular role is a versatile one, with various duties, and as such requires an adaptable professional to ensure support is provided accurately and effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate all labour inspections.
- Assess and mitigate the risks on all disciplinary, grievance and labour dispute matters.
- Ensure healthy working relationships and engagement with the relevant trade unions and stakeholders.
- Manage relationship with unions through active consultation and engagement.
- Be responsible for the company’s disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Facilitate incapacity procedures.
- Facilitate poor work performance procedures.
- Facilitate retrenchment procedures.
- Be responsible for providing day-to-day, tactical, legal advice and guidance to site managers on labour matters (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Update, maintain and implement all labour-related policies, processes and documentation.
- Assist with policy interpretation and guidance.
- Facilitate a training committee.
- Analyse skills gap, need and training plan.
- Ensure Skills Development / training strategy for the short, medium, and long term.
- Recruitment and selection.
- General administration and filing of IR / HR-related documentation.
- Ensure that reporting is done timeously and to the required standard.
- Develop a culture of teamwork and working for the better good of the organisation.
- Ensure employee wellness by implementing initiatives and awareness programs e.g. EAP, Mental Wellness, etc.
- Be the custodian of BCEA, LRA, EE legislation.
- Check timesheets, employee attendance and absenteeism.
- Any other IR/ER-related duties.

Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Driver’s License
- Relevant diploma / degree or tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management.
Computer literacy. - 3-5 years’ experience in the Human Resources field.
