South Sudan Project
The Humanitarian Aid to South Sudan on behalf of The Department of International Relations and Cooperation is one such project and it sparked the formation of this division. As a result, humanitarian aid has become an ongoing special project within Mokoena Holdings where we are able to live out our values through being of service to others and contributing to a better world.
The project was awarded by The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), to deliver. humanitarian aid in the form of food supplies to Juba, South Sudan. This project required the application of project management processes in managing multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project within the agreed parameters. The team delivered the following to Juba, South Sudan:
- 1625 metric tons of non-GMO Sweet Sorghum
- 130 metric tons of non-GMO Iodated Salt
- 1300 metric tons of non-GMO Red Kidney Bean
- 185 metric tons of Pure Sunflower Oil

UN – Project to Lesotho
Mokoena Holdings is registered on the UN database and our main focus is on food security in the continent.
The project to Lesotho was delivered on behalf of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), an organisation of the United Nations. For this project, we delivered:
- 166 metric tons of potato seeds
